The Pros and Cons of Breast Augmentation With Fat Transfer

lady-measuring-her-breastsIn all honesty, there are advantages and disadvantages to virtually all cosmetic procedures. However, the true list of pros and cons is completely determined by the patient and will be different for every individual; an ideal procedure for one person may not be the best option for another. Here are the facts about breast augmentation with fat transfer to help you determine your particular list of pros and cons:

It Reduces Body Fat

Perhaps the best and most obvious advantage of breast augmentation with fat transfer is the loss of fat from other areas of the body. The donor area can be the thighs, hips, buttocks, or abdomen—almost any larger area of the body that has excess, unwanted fat. Patients experience a few inches lost from the particular area and can feel more confident in smaller or tighter clothing.

It Is Less Invasive Than Implant Placement

Breast augmentation with fat transfer is less invasive than implant breast augmentation depending on the amount of fat removed during the liposuction portion of the procedure. Liposuction will require only a few small incisions at the donor site but may result in swelling and bruising that will cause some discomfort during recovery. The surgical step of injecting the fat into the breasts is much less invasive than surgically inserting implants. Generally, the fat grafting procedure results in a shorter and easier recovery than implant augmentation.

It Has Lower Risks Than Implant Augmentation

With breast implants, patients run the risk of capsular contracture, implant malposition, rippling, and rupture. With fat transfer to the breasts, the patient avoids all implant-associated risks. The body also will not reject the patient's own fat as a result of fat transfer.

The Breasts Look and Feel More Natural

Because the patient’s own fat is used, the breasts will look and feel more natural compared to silicone or saline breast implants. For those who would like more defined roundness and cleavage at the upper pole of the breasts, breast implants may be a better option.

before-and-after-breast-augmentationIt’s Permanent

When fat is injected into the body, it must form a blood supply to survive. Only about 50 to 70 percent of the injected fat is likely to survive in the breasts, which can lead to less dramatic results than with breast implants. After four to six weeks, the size of the breasts stabilizes. As long as you maintain your weight, the breast size will remain the same. If you gain weight, the breasts will increase in size. They will decrease in size if you lose weight.

It Provides a Less Significant Increase in Breast Size

Patients should expect an increase of about one to two cup sizes with fat transfer, while breast implants provide many more size options. Patients can choose to get more than one fat injection treatment to achieve the size they want, but this option often takes longer than breast implant surgery and may end up costing more as well. Dr. Agullo’s patients have many choices when considering breast augmentation at his practice. During your consultation, he takes your desires, concerns, and physical anatomy into consideration so that together you will both arrive at the option that will best meet your needs. 2016 Plastic Surgery Trends

shutterstock_207094993Cosmetic Culture It shouldn’t come as a surprise that plastic surgery, from the minor to the major procedures, is becoming more of a social norm. The use of elective cosmetic procedures rose 20% last year. What’s surprising is the type of work people are getting done. Natural Nip-tuck As of last year, The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery’s (ASAPS) annual report concluded there was a 7% growth in surgical procedures and a huge 22% growth in non-surgical procedures. This has a lot to do with trends. In the past, plastic surgery was more recognizable and obvious. Silicone implants were big and round, and facial work could leave you looking like a Cheshire cat. Today, the big trend is to get work done that doesn’t make you actually look like you’ve had work done. Subtle adjustments are the trend right now. I often see patients in my office who want more natural-looking transformations; less is more. Changing Demographics The evolution of plastic surgery has brought us from the stereotypical young ladies wanting their nose done or older women yearning to rewind the clock. Now both women and men of all ages and backgrounds are searching for a way to work with what they’ve already got. The Trend List The number one most requested procedure for women is fat-transfer, where fat from an area of your body (your belly, for instance,) is moved to another (like your rear or your breasts). Reflecting this craving for more natural appearances, these types of procedures are rapidly growing as a trend. Injectables, such as Botox for wrinkle prevention and Juvederm to plump around the face, were in second place. Butt lifts and implants were third, skin tightening methods fourth, tattoo removal fifth. Liposuction was in sixth place. Expansion of Possibilities The newest types of technology link makeup with surgery, giving women permanent, beautiful eyeliner, lip liner, and more. They are one of the biggest reasons there has been a big leap in cosmetic procedures. Many of these procedures have decreased in average cost over the years, which is yet another reason for their boost in popularity. Motivation Makes a Difference Like so many other things, just because you can have cosmetic procedures done, doesn’t mean you need to. There are times where I may not want to perform a plastic surgery procedure because I feel the patient will regret their decision. I want to know what your motivation is, and if you feel you are being honest with yourself about what the procedure will address. Your procedure should be something to help, not mask, the situation. Some of the reasons when I might ask a patient to reconsider a procedure is if they are having it done due to pressure from friends or a significant other. Cosmetic surgery isn’t a “quick fix.” Your life is the same as it was before the surgery. Someone who is depressed because of their appearance, may still find a reason to be troubled afterward, despite excellent surgical outcomes. But at the same time, plastic surgery can help you overcome barriers that get in the way of your self-confidence. Before and After Breast ReductionI recommend plastic surgery for those who have significant personal reasons or barriers that they want to overcome. Those with an obvious physical issue that can be surgically repaired are usually the most pleased. A pattern can be seen with breast reductions, for example. So many women will say it is something they’ve wanted for years! It can make them feel so much more comfortable and confident. It’s not magic, but it is a science that can improve your life! Celebrity-Inspired Plastic Surgery for Your Backside

shutterstock_171719924A lot of women come into my office for a better-looking backside. After all, there are a lot of things that squats alone can’t do. Even if you’re full of muscle, you won’t have the round, plump, full tush that, say, Kim Kardashian would. That’s why when women come in for plastic surgery for a better looking butt, I think it’s a great idea for them to share photos with me to get a better idea of what they have in mind. Most of the time, the photos are of women like Kim Kardashian, Sophia Vergara, and curvy women with beautiful, curvaceous bodies. With more and more celebrities embracing their curves, women in my office are doing the same thing. Sometimes it’s actually very secretive! Many of the women who come to my El Paso office are soccer moms, teachers, lawyers and even doctors. They want the curves that these gorgeous celebrities have, but aren’t able to get them just by squatting hundreds of time throughout the week (and who would want to!) Beautiful, Natural Curves The thing that makes each woman unique is her personal preference. I may have one thing in mind that seems more natural and subtle, but my patient brings in a picture of a celebrity and says, “I want to look like that!” That’s no problem - but the visual aids help me make sure that we’re all on the same page. Know Who You Don’t Want to Look Like It also helps to bring photos of celebrities that you don’t want to look like. Maybe you’re trying to decide on the right waist to hip ratio, and you’re weighing a couple of different options when you’ve found one that’s just too far over the edge. Bring the photo in anyway! When you’re able to visually capture what you’re looking for in your procedure, it makes it easier for us to meet your expectations and use just the right methods during your treatment. Embrace the Curve Before and After Butt Lift SurgeryWith more and more women (and men) embracing curvy figures, it’s easier for them to feel more confident in their bodies. Buttock augmentation with just a bit of body contouring or even something like body fat transfer may be exactly what you’re looking for!   What are you waiting for? Is it time to get more out of your current curves, or add to them for fullness that boosts your confidence? Your answers are just a visit away. Call my El Paso plastic surgery office to find out more about which body contouring options are available to fit your lifestyle. Going Organic Isn’t Just for Your Diet

Going organic may be the new diet trend, but for many people, it’s much more than that – it’s a lifestyle. An organic lifestyle means living a lifestyle that is healthy for you and the environment. It also means ridding your life and body of harmful processed chemicals. Going organic offers positive benefits, but some may wonder, at what cost? Does going organic mean you have to stop caring about your appearance? Of course not! With natural body enhancement procedures, you can live an organic lifestyle AND undergo “organic” beauty enhancement procedures using only materials harvested from your own body.

Facial Rejuvenation With Protein Rich Plasma (PRP)

Organic Plastic SurgeryAs a natural consequence of aging, our faces begin to thin out and develop fine lines and wrinkles. But with protein rich plasma (PRP) injections for facial rejuvenation, you can reduce the signs of aging with natural materials. PRP is blood plasma enriched with platelets that promote healing and growth, and it’s found in your body. PRP injections have been used for years to promote healing, and they are increasingly used for natural beauty enhancement. For the procedure, blood is drawn from a vein in your arm and then processed to separate out the protein rich plasma. A few minutes later, Dr. Agullo injects the PRP into target areas of your face to rejuvenate it. The face then naturally forms more collagen and blood vessels, effectively minimizing wrinkles and reversing volume loss. PRP injections can be combined with fat grafting for even more dramatic yet natural results.

Fat Transfer for Your Face, Breasts, and Butt

Wrinkles and volume loss are largely due to a loss of skin elasticity and lack of tissue fullness. The face, breasts, and buttocks are particularly vulnerable to skin laxity and volume loss over time. Fat injections can be used to counteract the signs of aging by filling in the tissues with fat harvested from elsewhere on the body. Dr. Frank Agullo uses liposuction to remove fat from one area of the body, and he then purifies it to eliminate imperfections before injecting it into the target area. The harvested fat includes stem cells that aid in skin rejuvenation and collagen production to tighten the skin. These techniques are used for natural facial rejuvenation, breast augmentation, and butt augmentation, and they allow you to undergo beauty enhancement procedures with an organic lifestyle.

Organic Beauty Enhancement

You don’t have to stop caring about your appearance when you go organic. While some people choose synthetic fillers and implants, you can have organic beauty enhancement using material from your own body. PRP and fat are both natural materials that can be utilized by the skilled hands of plastic surgeon Dr. Agullo to provide you with natural beauty enhancement. Find out more about how you can have organic beauty enhancement with PRP or fat transfer procedures by calling our El Paso office at (915) 590-7900 or our Las Cruces office at (575) 520-5041. For your convenience, you may also fill out our online contact form. Schedule your personal consultation with double board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Agullo today.

What Breast Procedure Do I Need?

Having small or misshapen breasts may leave you feeling less than confident in your body. Breast enhancement procedures can increase the size and correct the shape and position of your breasts. In today’s market, there are more ways than ever to gain the bigger, shapely bust you desire. Having options available to you helps ensure that you reach the aesthetic look you want and need.

Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation uses implants to achieve the size increase you desire. Saline or silicone implants are inserted through incisions into the breast pockets. You can choose subglandular (over the muscle) or subpectoral (under the muscle) placement depending on the look you wish to create with your augmentation. What Breast Procedure Do I Need?

Pros

  • Can produce a dramatic increase in breast size
  • Reliable results
  • Long-term enhancement
  • Achieves results with a single procedure (unless complications occur)

Cons

  • Uses synthetic material
  • May leave scarring

Natural Enhancement

Breast Fat transfer is a technique that has been perfected only fairly recently. Unwanted fat is harvested from trouble areas of the body such as the abdomen, hips, or thighs. The fat is purified and injected in layers into the breasts. Fat transfer is primarily for women seeking subtle enhancement. It can be used to reshape the breasts, and you can achieve a full cup size increase through one procedure.

Pros

  • Uses 100 percent biological material
  • Results look and feel natural
  • Fat reduction from other locations
  • Minimal scarring

Cons

  • Results vary from patient to patient
  • Multiple treatments may be necessary
  • Does not provide a dramatic size change

Breast Lift

Breast lifts are performed on women with mild to severe breast ptosis (sagging). Breast sagging can occur due to gravity, aging, pregnancy, or weight loss. Through incisions created around the nipples, excess tissue is removed, and what remains is sutured into place. This helps the breasts sit in a higher, more perky position on the chest.

Pros

  • Corrects sagging
  • Provides natural results
  • When combined with augmentation, helps prevent double-bubble deformity

Cons

  • Does not increase size
  • May result in visible scarring
  • Breast tissue is still subject to causes of sagging like future weight gain and pregnancy

Combining Procedures

You can choose to combine different breast procedures to gain the results you desire. Fat transfer can be utilized by women with thin breast tissue who desire implants. If the tissue is too thin, the outline of the implant may be visible through the skin. Transferring fat around the edges of the implant can help camouflage its outline.   Women who desire a size increase but also have tissue sagging should consider combining a lift with their augmentation. Lifting and securing the breast tissue around the implants helps prevent complications such as double-bubble deformity and bottoming out.   If you want to benefit from the confidence boost of breast enhancement, schedule your consultation with Dr. Agullo today. Together you and he can decide which breast procedure will help you achieve the look you desire. New Fat Grafting Procedure Helps Patients Love Fat in a Different Way

In Mid-May of 2015, top surgeons for the ASAPS – American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery – met to brainstorm the rapidly evolving method of fat grafting, which offers patients a revolutionary new way to re-sculpt and reshape the areas of the body that even exercise and diet cannot achieve. Those once-neglected regions of a person’s body, such as the pecks, shoulders, abs and legs, can now achieve stunning definition that was once only available to those who were “born with” great genes. Being hailed by one plastic surgeon as “liquid gold”, the fat grafting technique enables qualified surgeons to augment, reshape and redefine the anatomy in ways that other previous methods could not achieve. The results are natural looking, minimally invasive and use a patient’s own body tissue, making it less apt to be rejected by the body. Fat grafting provides a robust, flexible measure of injecting the patient’s own fat cells into the desired areas. So you can take the fat away from the areas you don’t want it, and have it redistributed to the areas that need more volume. Although this does often require combined procedures, such as liposuction, for example, the initial results have been tremendously favorable. The fat literally takes on the physiologic makeup of whatever it is injected next to, thereby adapting in a way that makes it easy for the body to adopt. While implants have long been used for augmentations, the fat grafting procedure offers an innovative alternative. It can even complement existing implants for patients who want more dramatic results, such as ultra-sexy, deep cleavage or “booty-licious” butts. In the future, many patients who have returned to plastic surgeons for the decade updates on their breast implants may be offered fat grafting as an alternative solution. It can also smooth and contour the implants, offering enhanced definition and customization. One of the surprising findings is that in patients who have already gone through with the fat grafting procedure, the fat cells that were removed and redistributed to another part of the body did not come back to those areas. They also live forever in their new location. Fat retention rates averaged 60% for buttock fat transfers, 40% for breast fat grafting and 60% retention in the legs and calves. These tallies were performed by board-certified, best-of-the best, plastic surgeons certified by ABPS – the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Another notable point about fat grafting redistribution is that the results are centered on shape and proportion, rather than the size of the patient. A person can designate the unwanted fat and just move it to another part that needs extra perkiness and volume. If you are underweight, this technique may not be possible unless you want to gain ten or twenty pounds to have it done. Limitations exist, mainly when a patient’s bone structure or skin is unable to stretch enough to accommodate the fat injections. Scary as it may sound, if too much fat is injected into a specific area, it can actually rupture the nearby ligaments. Not everyone is a candidate for fat grafting, so the best advice is to go to a board certified plastic surgeon, such as Dr. Frank Agullo of El Paso, TX. In addition to being a member of ABPS and other prestigious organizations, Dr. Agullo can give patients realistic advice as to whether or not they are a candidate. If you would like to find out if fat grafting is an option for you, Contact Agullo Plastic Surgery today to set up a personal one-on-one to discuss your concepts and goals.

Not So Commonly Asked Questions About Breast Fat Injections

Breast Augmentation Using Fat InjectionsRecently, Dr. Agullo received a great email from a prospective client in Canada interested in breast augmentation with fat grafting. She did not want to have breast augmentation with implants and had additional questions not covered on the website. Dr. Agullo performs surgeries of all kinds – not only for patients throughout Southwest Texas, El Paso, Mexico, and Las Cruces, NM – but also for a number of fly-ins from all over North America, Asia, and Europe. This is a special privilege.

Dr. Agullo has taken care to write all the content for his website himself to describe the most important aspects of breast augmentation using fat injections. To answer many questions about fat injections for women who want fuller breasts, here are answers to some not so frequently asked questions.

1. Who administers the anesthetic, and are they board certified? Is it local or general? Can it be local? For breast fat transfer procedures, Dr. Agullo performs the surgery at a certified outpatient surgery center, which includes a free overnight stay for his out-of-town patients. Dr. Agullo’s team includes a board-certified anesthesiologist and nurse anesthetist, who will take care of the patient with the utmost care and attention to detail. The procedure is done under general anesthesia to optimize fat harvesting volume. 2. What type of liposuction do you use to remove the fat for fat transfer to the breast? How does this keep the fat viable? Power-assisted, tumescent liposuction is the gold standard. This is the least traumatic method for the cells. Other types of liposuction, such as Vaser and Smartlipo™, generate heat that can injure and destroy the fat cells. 3. What is your complication rate? Are blood clots an issue? It might seem unrealistic, but close to 0%. Infections and blood clots are extremely rare in a healthy patient. The most likely complication is fatty necrosis, which could result in palpable small masses, but Dr. Agullo doesn't commonly see that with his delicate, micro-injection technique. 4. When you state the range for the procedure is between $4,000 - $7,000, what increases the price or decreases it? The base cost includes one area of liposuction. In most patients, Dr. Agullo performs liposuction in multiple areas. Out-of-town patients are welcome to send pictures of themselves to get an exact cost, as well as recommendations. At Southwest Plastic Surgery, we are accustomed to consulting and treating out of town patients. Dr. Agullo can consult with you via telephone, or even better, face-to-face using FaceTime or Skype. Patients who live locally within the El Paso, TX or Las Cruces, NM areas are welcome to come in for a consultation. During your consultation, Dr. Agullo can determine how much work is needed to accomplish your goals as well as an exact cost. Another advantage Dr. Agullo's patients receive is the ability to get a Vectra 3D imaging preview of “before” and “after” pictures. 5. Is the price all inclusive, including garments? Yes, we provide you with the exact cost for everything you need from preoperative vitamins to post-operative care. 6. Do you recommend lymphatic massage to the lipo areas? Yes, Southwest Plastic Surgery of El Paso and Southwest Plastic Surgery of Las Cruces have a massage therapist on site to provide lymphatic drainage treatments. If a patient is from away, this will be done as frequently as possible until the patient leaves town. Please refer to the article about the benefits of lymphatic massage. 7. Do you use drains? No; they are not necessary. 8. Having done this procedure, how many patients have complained of lumpiness or calcification afterward? None. 9. When injecting fat into the breast, how are you careful not to hit any veins? Is that a concern? Dr. Agullo uses blunt, microinjection cannulas, which are extremely unlikely to perforate veins or arteries. Nevertheless, a patient may still get bruising after the procedure. People have different concerns, and understandably so. Any time a surgery is performed, women want to be well informed before committing to any major undertaking, especially if they are mothers who want to ensure their wellbeing in order to care for their child. Breast fat injections are fairly straightforward in the hands of an experienced plastic surgeon. If you have any question regarding breast augmentation using fat injections, we encourage you to contact us at our El Paso office at (915) 590-7900 or our Las Cruces office at (575) 520-5041 today. Feel free to email Dr. Agullo directly, and he will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Wait at Least Six Months After Having a Baby to Get a Mommy Makeover

Mommy Makeover El Paso Las CrucesMore than ever women are focused on their bodies, especially after pregnancy. The comparisons not only begin with friends and family but also can be exacerbated by the media stories of the rich and famous. Of course, no one notes the private chefs, coaches, etc. that they have at their disposal. A lot of women tend to put pressure on themselves to quickly get back to pre-pregnancy shape, often not considering all their bodies have done to prepare them for childbirth. During your pregnancy, not only do your hormones change, but your body changes shape to allow your baby to grow healthily and be delivered. Your mid-section stretches, your breasts increase in size, and certain areas may even swell due to retaining water. Once your pregnancy is over and hormones return to normal, your skin and muscles will begin to tighten once again. How much a woman's body will return to "normal" varies from person to person and depends on her overall health, diet, and exercise plan. There are a large number of women who find no matter what they do physically and with their diets, they simply can’t get back to their pre-pregnancy shape. There may be loose skin around the midsection and potentially sagging breasts once milk production has ceased.

What Is A Mommy Makeover?

Usually a “Mommy Makeover” includes a tummy tuck, liposuction in the mid-section and hips, and either a breast lift, reduction, or augmentation, depending on the woman's specific needs. In Dr. Agullo’s practice, mommy makeovers often include buttock enhancement via a Brazilian Butt Lift with fat injections or a buttock implant. It’s important to note that the procedures are not intended to speed weight loss, they are to help with areas that diet and exercise simply cannot alter.

How Long Should You Wait?

From birth, this can be several months to a couple years, depending on your family, feeding, diet, and exercise plan. However, it’s never recommended to have a tummy tuck before you are done with childbearing. This is to prevent you from having to redo surgeries in the future. The most important thing to remember is that your body is different from everyone else’s. Your body will heal and return at a different rate and shape than others. Discussing your body goals with your physician can help create a plan with attainable goals that can then be further defined with surgery if desired. When you are ready, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Agullo of Southwest Plastic Surgery in El Paso and Las Cruces can help you prepare for a Mommy Makeover. Call our office in El Paso (915) 590-7900 or our office in Las Cruces at (575) 520-5041 to schedule your consultation. We encourage you to come in and see our before and after pictures even before you make a decision.

How Does Stress Affect Your Beauty?

Beauty Restoration Treatments

Beauty Restoration TreatmentsStress is an unfortunate fact of life. For people living with chronic stress, their bodies take a serious beating. Chronic stress disrupts the natural hormone levels in your body, causing homeostatic imbalances that can lead to health issues like heartburn, respiratory problems, cardiac irregularities, and insomnia. Stress sometimes gets expressed externally as well, altering your beauty. The effects of stress may cause:

Wrinkles

When you are stressed, your muscles have a tendency to be tense. Muscle tension in the face, mainly in the forehead and around the eyes, can etch in deep wrinkles. These wrinkles prematurely age the face.

Solution:

PRP (Protein Rich Plasma) Facial Rejuvenation: Blood plasma enriched with platelets that release growth factors to promote collagen production and healing.
  • PRP treatments combined with dermal fillers or fat grafting can achieve smooth, younger-looking skin.

Hollow Eyes and Cheeks

People that suffer from chronic stress will occasionally experience bouts of insomnia. Lack of sleep leads to dark, puffy under-eye bags and hollow cheeks, which make you appear constantly fatigued.

Solution:

Fat injections: The transfer of fat into areas of the face that have experienced a loss of volume.
  • Smoothing under-eye bags and plumping sunken cheeks restores a rested appearance and a bright complexion.

Weight Gain

Some people have a tendency to overeat as an emotional coping mechanism for stress. The increased caloric intake is often accompanied by a lack of motivation to exercise, which can cause you to pack on the pounds. During stressful times, your body also produces hormones that cause you to store excess fat. Unfortunately, there isn't a cosmetic procedure to help you lose a major amount of weight. You can lose weight with the help of a nutritionist, personal trainer, and personal determination. Once you have lost weight, you may be discouraged to find excess skin and clinging fat deposits you didn't have before.

Solution:

Body Contouring: A combination of surgical procedures that may include liposuction, tummy tuck, and arm lift surgery.
  • Removes excess skin and fat
  • Tightens and tones the area
  • Restores pleasing body contours

Hair Loss

Hair loss normally occurs six weeks to three months after the initial stressful event. After a traumatic event, the body releases hormones that disrupt the natural hair growth cycle. For some people, stress causes ticks where they pull out an excessive amount of their hair.

Solution:

In most cases, your hair cycle will return to normal. If it doesn't, the stress may have exacerbated an underlying medical condition. PRP for Hair Loss: Wakes up dormant hair follicles and stimulates them to grow. Hair Transplant: Takes hair follicles from donor sites and transplants them to areas where the hair is thinning or bald. Schedule your consultation with Dr. Agullo to erase signs of stress and restore your vibrant, beautiful self. Call our office today at (915) 590-7900 or fill out our online contact form here.

Plastic Surgery Is On the Rise, “Butt” With a New Emphasis

butt liftThe results are in, and last year in 2014 has seen an increase in plastic surgery in the U.S. by as much as 3%. New results released last week revealed 15.6 Americans receiving plastic surgical procedures, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). Part of it is attributed to the advancements in medical technologies, making it faster, easier and more convenient for people to go in for a nip here and a tuck there. Most of the people that fell within that extra 3% growth rate were recipients of the minimally invasive procedures. For example, the use of fat redistribution was among those procedures, with a 2% increase in patients receiving Brazilian Butt Lifts by drawing from fat stores within their own bodies. Another surprising trend revealed that fewer women were getting breast augmentations, while there was a significant rise in breast reconstruction surgeries for women who had gone through mastectomies. While not all breast cancer patients opt for breast reconstruction, those who do have been encouraged more by their doctors, which means there have been great strides made between physicians and plastic surgeons. Frank Agullo of Southwest Plastic Surgery is one of the few doctors in the Southwest who offer the Butt Implants, so patients near El Paso, TX or Las Cruces, NM have been able to go to their clinic to get the butt lift surgeries. His office has also experienced an uncanny increase in the number of butt lifts performed within 2014, with nearly twice as many patients opting for the surgery over 2013. Like many doctors around the country, he guesses that the media fancy and stars like JLo or Kim Kardashian have a lot to do with the new trend. Minimally invasive surgeries for the face, such as fillers, chemical peels and laser services were also more popular in 2014. In particular, chemical peels saw the most growth, with over 1.2 million services rendered. There were 2.3 million soft tissue fillers and just over a million laser hair removals, among many other types of non-invasive procedures. These trends show that people want subtle changes, rather than going through major surgeries, so now with more availability of new technologies, people are becoming braver about going in to get services done. It also makes getting procedures more affordable for people, both in time and monetary investments. If you have been interested in getting plastic surgery, but are not sure about what to do, contact board-certified Dr. Agullo at Southwest Plastic Surgery of El Paso. He shows his patients before and after images, using a remarkable 3D Vectra Imaging system. This eliminates any concerns and also gives patients the confidence they need to undergo many types of plastic surgery. Call 915-590-7900 to ask about butt augmentation/implants, Brazilian Butt Lifts or Labiaplasty in El Paso, Texas.
