What Can Breast Fat Injections Achieve?

Sculpted Body Contours
Patients who are concerned with excess body fat as well as small or deflated breasts can benefit from this procedure. Dr. Agullo can remove stubborn fat from various areas of the body to create sculpted contours in addition to enlarging the breasts. Breast fat injections provide overall improvement and produce a voluptuous physique.
Unlike traditional breast augmentation surgery, breast enlargement with fat injections does not involve creating large incisions. Fat is removed from the body and injected into the breasts through minuscule incisions, creating inconspicuous results with minimal recovery time.
Breast augmentation with fat injections is performed using a three-step fat transfer process that involves harvesting unwanted fat, purifying it, and injecting it into the breasts. Fat transfer is an innovative procedure that provides natural and long-lasting body contouring effects.
Step 1: Liposuction
After determining which parts of the body will be the designated donor sites, Dr. Agullo removes localized fat deposits with liposuction. Fat can be harvested from the virtually anywhere, including the abdomen, hips, thighs, and back.
Step 2: Fat Purification
The collected fat is purified using a closed-system device to remove debris, excess fluid, and low-quality fat cells. Utilizing the healthiest fat cells ensures maximum retention and optimal results.
Step 3: Fat Injection
Once the fat is purified, it is carefully injected into the breast tissue using a thin cannula. Dr. Agullo injects the fat in thin, even layers to create smooth and natural-looking results.

Breast Fat Injections FAQ
The amount of fat that can be injected will vary from patient to patient. Most patients can be augmented one to two cup sizes. Dr. Agullo tends to overfill the breasts, taking into consideration that 30 to 40 percent of the volume will go away. Patients wanting larger increases in breast size may require more than one session of fat injections or might consider implants.
The scars used for liposuction are smaller than 5 millimeters or ¼ inch and are placed in areas that can easily be hidden. One or two even smaller incisions are made in the lower breast fold for the fat injections.
Some patients can return to work one week after their breast fat injections procedure, but others may feel more comfortable staying home for two weeks. You may be advised to wear a compression garment over the donor sites for several weeks to help minimize postoperative swelling, bruising, and discomfort.
You will notice an immediate improvement in the size and shape of your breasts following your breast fat injections procedure, but it can take a few months for the fat to graft successfully and reveal the final results. Residual swelling may persist for several weeks. Some women need follow-up treatments to obtain their desired bustline.
Once the body has absorbed excess fat that did not graft to the breast tissue, the remaining fat becomes a permanent part of the body. However, significant weight fluctuations, pregnancies, and breastfeeding after your procedure can alter the appearance of the breasts.
