A patient sat down in my consultation room last month with three price screenshots pulled from three different practice websites. None of them matched, and none of them told her what was actually included. I see this constantly. Breast augmentation is the procedure I’m asked about most, and price is almost always the first question, before we’ve even talked about what she actually wants.
So here’s the honest version, the one I give in the room. Our starting price is $7,000 for saline, $8,000 for silicone, and $8,500 to $9,000 for a gummy bear implant. It’s genuinely all-inclusive: the surgical facility, anesthesia and the anesthesiologist, my fee, the implants themselves, a post-surgical bra, scar treatments, moisturizer, vitamins, your pre-op workup, and every post-op visit. Only prescription medications are billed separately, picked up at the pharmacy like any other prescription.
Why That Number Isn’t the Same Everywhere
Overhead varies by city, and El Paso’s cost structure is different from Houston’s or Dallas’s. What the anesthesia team and surgery center charge factors in too, along with what a surgeon can negotiate on implants and supplies. Experience matters as much as anything else. Surgeons who are consistently in demand usually got there by delivering safe, reliable results, and that reputation shows up in the price.
When I see an offer that looks unusually low, I can usually guess where the savings came from. I use a Keller funnel for a no-touch technique inserting implants, which adds cost but lowers infection risk. I use Exparel for a chest block, long-lasting anesthesia injected between the ribs, so patients are more comfortable in the first days after surgery. I schedule generous OR time so the case moves at a careful pace instead of a rushed one. Patients have direct access to our nursing team around the clock, and every surgery happens in an accredited surgical center equipped for real complications, not just routine cases.

I steer most patients toward the gummy bear category, and Motiva implants specifically. Motiva has the lowest capsular contracture rate and the lowest rupture rate of any implant I use, backed by one of the strongest warranties available, one that can even cover surgical costs for a complication like contracture or rupture, or if a patient later decides she wants the implants removed.
What Actually Pushes a Quote Above the Starting Price
A handful of things change a quote, and I’d rather name them than bury them in fine print. A revision case that needs more OR time and a more involved technique. A donut lift or full lift added at the same time. Mesh support, GalaFLEX or DuraSorb, used as an internal bra to help the result last longer. A premium implant, particularly the Mentor enhanced oversized line. A longer expected surgery time. A transaxillary approach through the armpit, which takes more time than an inframammary or periareolar incision.
Outside of that list, there aren’t real hidden fees. We offer a discount when patients combine procedures, but nothing is ever required. If a case runs longer than expected or hits a complication, you still pay the price you were quoted going in.
Financing and the Consultation Fee
We work with PatientFi, AlphaEon, Cherry, and CareCredit, and we also offer a direct payment plan through the practice, where you schedule your surgery out and make payments at your own pace before your procedure. Credit cards, cash, and outside bank financing work too.
There’s a separate consultation fee to see me, in person or virtually, and it’s credited toward your procedure cost if you move forward. The consultation includes 3D imaging with Crisalix, so you can see different implant sizes and brands on your own body, plus hands-on time with physical sizers in the room. It’s also where I check for volume differences between breasts and talk through whether a lift makes sense alongside the augmentation.
Is It Worth the Investment?
Most patients who reach my consultation room have already weighed the cost against the outcome. They’ve read the pricing on our website, followed our education on social media, and thought it through. The patients who move forward tend to be genuinely happy afterward, and that satisfaction is part of the value equation, not separate from it.
For longevity specifically, an internal push-up bra built from GalaFLEX or DuraSorb mesh supports the implant the way a push-up bra supports natural tissue, and it can help results hold up longer. Motiva implants carry a much lower rupture rate than older-generation implants, so they don’t need routine replacement every decade the way some implants historically did.
What About Revisions, Exchanges, and Insurance
If you ever need a touch-up, our revision rate is low, but it happens. Within roughly the first one to two years, I’ll perform a revision if you request it and I agree the result can be improved, and I don’t charge my own fee for that visit, though you’re responsible for OR and anesthesia costs. A straightforward implant exchange later on typically costs less than the original surgery, unless mesh or a lift gets added. A full implant removal usually requires a bilateral capsulectomy, which raises the cost, and some patients choose fat grafting afterward to regain volume without going back to an implant.
I no longer accept insurance, since these are cosmetic procedures in my practice. Reconstruction after breast cancer or for congenital asymmetry is different, and I’m glad to refer you to a colleague who handles those cases.
