A patient sat down last week for a facelift consultation and spotted the September flyer on the way out. She turned around, tapped Skinvive with a fingernail, and asked me flatly: “Tell me about this one.” That is the question I get every month when a new board goes up. I love it. It gives me a chance to explain what each treatment actually does.
Skinvive is a hyaluronic acid microdroplet hydration booster, and it is genuinely new territory in the injectable space.
That turned out to be the thread through the whole September board this month. All three specials do something specific and worth understanding. Tattoo removal clears old ink cleanly. Skinvive transforms cheek skin quality. Morpheus firms and refines the face and neck. Once you know exactly what each one does, choosing is easy.
The flyer says Renew, Restore, Revive. In plain terms that is PicoSure tattoo removal at 20% off per session (single sessions qualify), Skinvive at $550 for one syringe per session, and Morpheus Face and Neck at $1,000 per single session. All three run at both of our El Paso locations, our Eastside office on George Dieter and our Westside office on Silver Springs. Let me walk through each one clinically.
Renew. PicoSure Tattoo Removal, 20% Off Per Session.
Tattoo removal patients often want to understand the full arc of how the treatment works, and I love walking through it because the science is elegant.
The platform we use at the Med Spa is the PicoSure, by Cynosure. “Pico” is a unit of time, one trillionth of a second, and that ultra-short pulse duration is what makes this a leading platform for medical-grade tattoo removal. A picosecond pulse produces a photomechanical pressure wave that shatters the ink particle into much smaller fragments with tightly controlled heat in the surrounding skin. Two clinical benefits follow. First, an efficient course of sessions in typical cases. Second, strong performance on the ink colors patients most want cleared, particularly blues and greens.
Here is the biology once the laser has done its work. A tattoo lives in your dermis, the deeper layer of the skin. It stays for life because the ink particles are large enough to remain in place indefinitely. Once the PicoSure has fragmented those particles, the macrophages of your immune system (the body’s cleanup cells) pick them up and clear them through your lymphatic system. That cleanup continues over the weeks between visits, so the tattoo keeps fading between sessions.
That mechanism dictates how tattoo removal is priced and scheduled. Per-session pricing lets us tailor settings to each ink color and use the exact number of passes your specific tattoo needs. Sessions are spaced six to eight weeks apart to give the lymphatic clearance time to finish its work. A realistic course for a typical tattoo runs six to twelve sessions.
The pricing question is the one patients ask first and I answer honestly. It depends on the size of the tattoo and how many sessions you need. Every tattoo is priced to fit its size and complexity. The September promotion takes 20% off whichever per-session price applies to your specific tattoo, and single sessions qualify for the promo.
Two clinical points I raise with every candidate:
First, skin tone matters. In Fitzpatrick IV to VI skin, the settings, cadence, and candidate selection are all customized so the treatment works beautifully with your specific pigment. That is a real conversation about candidate selection, and we love having it.
Second, older ink typically clears faster than fresh ink. The immune system has been quietly nibbling at the edges for years, so a tattoo from ten years ago often finishes on an efficient course, and older ink typically responds beautifully.
Restore. Skinvive, $550 Per Session.
This is the special I love describing in consultation because it is genuinely new territory: a hydration and skin quality tool designed to make the cheeks glow from within.
The September price is $550 for one syringe, one session. That is the whole treatment. One syringe of Skinvive is designed to cover both cheeks with a microdroplet HA distribution across the mid-cheek. One syringe, one session.
Skinvive is a modified hyaluronic acid product made by Allergan, the same manufacturer behind the Juvederm family. It is formulated as microdroplets that distribute across the mid-cheek and hydrate the skin itself from within. It is FDA-cleared specifically for cheek skin smoothness in adults, and the practical result is a visible improvement in glow, hydration, and fine surface texture.
Where Skinvive earns its place on the board is the patient whose cheek skin reads dull and dehydrated, especially after a hot El Paso summer. It delivers a hydrated, luminous look across the whole mid-cheek so your skin looks like you have slept for a week.
The single syringe is placed using a specific microdroplet pattern with a fine needle or a cannula, depending on the candidate. Most patients come back three to six months later for a maintenance treatment as the product gradually integrates and turns over. Skinvive layers beautifully with Morpheus8, with a good retinoid, and with daily sunscreen. All of those tools work together.
Revive. Morpheus Face and Neck, $1,000 Per Session.
Morpheus8 has been in my practice for years, most often on the body for skin tightening after liposuction. The face and neck protocol is a more delicate application of the same platform, and it is a treatment I have personally had done on my own face, which shapes how I describe it to patients.
The September price is $1,000 for one session, and single sessions qualify at the promo price. A typical course is two to three sessions, so a patient booking the full course pays per session and stacks them.
Mechanically, Morpheus8 is a fractional radiofrequency microneedling device. It delivers a controlled grid of very fine, insulated microneedles just under the surface of the skin, and it sends radiofrequency energy through those needles to deposit precise, controlled heat at a specific depth in the dermis. The microneedling on its own initiates a wound-healing response. The radiofrequency energy on top of that remodels the collagen scaffold at the target depth, all non-surgically, leaving the skin surface intact. Over the following weeks and months, the body lays down new, better-organized collagen and elastin, producing a measurable improvement in skin quality, texture, and mild laxity.
The face and neck protocol treats the jawline, mid-cheek, and platysma-heavy neck, which is precisely the zone where crepiness and mild laxity show up first in the mid-30s and start dominating the mirror in the 40s. Morpheus is a dermal remodeling device that works on the skin envelope and the collagen scaffold underneath it. Where Morpheus performs is the patient whose skin envelope has softened and is ready for a real quality upgrade.
The course structure reflects how collagen actually remodels. A typical protocol is two to three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, we numb the area with a topical anesthetic before each session, downtime is roughly two to three days of redness and mild swelling, and results continue to improve for two to three months after the last session as new collagen matures. Once you get where you want to be, one maintenance session a year holds it.
